Sail-Elixir is owned and operated by Nick Bown a fully qualified Yachtmaster Instructor with Commercial endorsement, with many years sailing experience from small dinghies to offshore racing yachts.

Sailing holidays are offered to the West Country, Channel Islands, & Northern France. Sailing courses cover the full range of RYA qualifications from Start Yachting practical, to Competent Crew, Day Skipper and on to Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster preparation. Sail training is mainly based in the Solent due to time constraints but arrangements can be made to go further if required. It is also possible to obtain the International Certificate of Competence (ICC) which is often a minimum requirement for bareboat charter. Night sailing and mileage building options are also available.

Groups are usually small (max 5) and sailing tuition is therefore highly personalised. There is plenty of opportunity to concentrate on any aspect which gives individual concern. Please see testimonials from satisfied clients.

We don't do bareboat and you are always accompanied by an experienced skipper. Learn to sail, relax on the water, feel safe, have fun, be part of the crew, enjoy good food, get value for money. Packages are very flexible and can be geared to your personal requirements and experience so please do not hesitate to ask if you have particular dates or destinations in mind.

In addition Nick offers own boat tuition, delivery and assisted passages.

The boat is based on the picturesque Beaulieu River which allows easy access to the Solent.
